Uganda Police Darts Club has secured qualification for the PDC World Cup of Darts after an unbeaten run at the African Qualifiers held in Kenya from March 22, 2026.
The Ugandan pair of Patrick Ocheng and Juma Saidi delivered a commanding campaign, winning all five of their matches to finish top of a 40-team field and claim the country’s first ever place at the global showpiece.
They opened with back to back 5-2 victories over Kenyan pairs Maina and Ezekiel, and Kirwa and Njanaba, before stepping up their dominance with a 6-3 win against Chepkwony and Rop.
The duo then beat Wanjohi and Kama 7-3 to seal top spot in the Kenyan clashes, before completing their perfect run with an emphatic 8-3 victory over Malawi’s Zako and Mkandawire.
Their consistency and scoring power set them apart throughout the qualifiers, with no opponent able to match their rhythm across the format.
Qualification marks a significant milestone for Ugandan darts, with Ocheng and Saidi now set to represent the country on the world stage in Frankfurt this June.
