Senegal’s football federation has vowed a “crusade” against CAF’s decision to strip the nation of its Africa Cup of Nations crown.
President Abdoulaye Fall denounced the ruling as “administrative robbery” after CAF declared Senegal forfeited January’s final against Morocco, despite their 1-0 extra‑time win.
Lawyer Juan de Dios Crespo Perez called the move “absurd” and warned it could undermine the principle that refereeing decisions are final. The FSF has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, urging a fast‑track ruling.
Fall hinted the trophy may be symbolically presented to fans during Senegal’s friendly against Peru at the Stade de France on Saturday.
