Coco Gauff powered past Karolina Muchova 6-1, 6-1 to reach her first Miami Open final, where she will meet defending champion Aryna Sabalenka.
The 22-year-old Floridian, who won last year’s French Open, dropped just two games and will rise to world number three next week. “It feels great to be at home,” Gauff said.
Sabalenka beat Elena Rybakina 6-4, 6-3 to continue her blistering season, winning 17 of 18 matches. Victory on Saturday would secure the Sunshine Double after her Indian Wells triumph.
The pair are tied 6-6 in previous meetings, setting up a high-stakes showdown between two of the tour’s fiercest competitors.
