Namaganda, Ininahazwe Take March Honours in FUFA Women Super League

Zaitun Namaganda and Ininahazwe Belyse have been named the best player and coach respectively for March in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League, following standout performances across matchdays 12 to 15.

The awards were presented on Tuesday at the Finance Trust Bank headquarters at Twed Plaza, recognising consistency and impact during a crucial stretch of the season.

Namaganda edged Gloria Namugerwa and Latifah Nakasi to take the player of the month accolade after scoring four goals in four matches for Kampala Queens.

Her run included a brace against Asubo Ladies, the winner against Olila High School WFC, and another goal in a 2-2 draw with Rines SS WFC, underlining her influence in the title race.

In the dugout, Ininahazwe was rewarded after guiding She Corporate FC to three wins in four matches, the strongest return among coaches in March. Her side also kept three clean sheets during that period, reinforcing their push at the top end of the table. The award is her third this season, having also won it in October and December.

Both winners received trophies and a cash prize of UGX 500,000, sponsored by Finance Trust Bank.

In the media category, Asha Kamira and Novah Kibuuka were recognised for their coverage of the league, each earning UGX 250,000.

League action resumes on Saturday with five matchday 18 fixtures. Kawempe Muslim Ladies travel to face Asubo Ladies, while She Corporate host third-placed Kampala Queens in Njeru in a key fixture that could shape the title race.
