Uganda Rugby has revealed that the 2026 Enterprise Cup semifinal meeting between Stanbic Black Pirates and Nondescripts will be played at the Kings Park in Bweyogerere.
The match was initially meant to be played at the Mutesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Saturday, April 11.
While the date remains unchanged, all roads will now lead across Kampala City from Rubaga Division to Bweyogerere Kakajjo in Wakiso District.
NBS Sport sought an official comment from Uganda Rugby on why the change had been made. The federation responded with a five-worded statement saying, “Mutesa II is not available.”
From sources knowledgeable about the matter, NBS Sport understands that Wankulukuku was paid for and reserved by a school for their sports day and would be under use for the whole day.
It is important to recall that the facility had been made available to Uganda Rugby for the Enterprise Cup quarterfinals a fortnight ago at zero cost by the Kingdom of Buganda.
That would have been the same arrangement for the semifinals until now.
Nonetheless, this development has been received with excitement at Kings Park, especially amongst the Sea Robbers fans.
It plays right into their hands since they will have full home advantage against the travelling Nondescripts from Nairobi, Kenya.
But it will be no walk in the park since Nondescripts stunned KCB KOBs by 29-13 in the quarterfinal in Nakuru.
