Eritrea booked their place in the next round of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 qualifiers after a 2-1 victory over Eswatini on Tuesday, sealing a 4-1 aggregate triumph.
Ali Suleiman was once again the hero, striking twice in the second half to put the tie beyond reach. Eswatini grabbed a late consolation through Justice Figuareido, but Eritrea’s disciplined display ensured progression.
The foundation was laid in the first leg in Morocco, where goals from Siem Eyob-Abraha and Suleiman secured a 2-0 win.
This marks Eritrea’s first advancement in AFCON qualifiers in nearly two decades, a milestone that signals their growing belief as they continue the journey toward AFCON 2027 in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
