The NBA has received multiple billion-dollar offers for franchises in its planned European league, set to launch by the 2027–28 season.
Proposals outline 10–12 permanent teams, with bids ranging from $500m (£375m) to over $1bn.
Deputy commissioner Mark Tatum said the interest shows “enormous, untapped potential for European basketball.”
Talks include EuroLeague clubs and football giants, with London and Manchester expected to host franchises.
The NBA has staged regular-season games in Europe since 2011, but this marks its boldest push yet for a permanent continental presence.
