Golfer Tiger Woods told deputies he had just spoken to “the president” moments after his SUV rolled over in Jupiter Island, Florida, last week.
Bodycam footage shows Woods ending a call and telling officers he was on the phone with the president before being arrested on DUI charges.
Authorities reported no injuries, though Woods’ vehicle clipped a trailer, causing $5,000 in damage.
Deputies noted signs of impairment, but Woods denied drinking, citing medications for chronic pain. He has pleaded not guilty.
The White House has not commented, though Donald Trump previously said he spoke with Woods after the crash.
