NEC FC head coach Kaddu Badru Mukasa has vowed to channel his energy into player development following his side’s elimination from the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinals.
After bowing out against Vipers SC in a tense clash at the Philip Omondi Stadium on April 3rd, Kaddu stressed that the coming months will be dedicated to sharpening his squad’s skills and efficiency.
Despite the defeat, NEC showed resilience by holding Vipers goalless for 120 minutes before losing in the penalty shootout. Kaddu praised his team’s defensive discipline but admitted that greater attacking precision is needed to complement their solidity at the back.
“We are going to use the remaining months to improve the players who are not yet perfect so that we can achieve our objective of playing good football and winning beautifully,” Kaddu said.
The coach believes that refining his players’ ability to convert chances will be crucial as NEC looks to bounce back stronger in future competitions.
