Wales captain and former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has retired from football.
Ramsey, capped 86 times and scorer of 21 goals for Wales, was central to their Euro 2016 semi‑final run and later featured at Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.
He won three FA Cups with Arsenal, scoring decisive goals in two finals, and also played for Juventus, Nice, Rangers and Cardiff before a final spell at Pumas UNAM.
Ramsey thanked Wales’ “Red Wall” of supporters, his clubs, and family as he confirmed his decision, saying he now plans to move into coaching.
