The Chaapa League resumes on Sunday, April 12, with a packed Matchday 4 schedule at NEC Grounds in Bugolobi, as teams return from a short break to a round that could shape the early title race.
Rugabo headline the early kick-offs against Kyangabukama, chasing a fourth straight win after a flawless start to the campaign. Victory would further cement their status as early contenders, while any slip could allow rivals to close the gap.
In the other morning fixture, Kataara face Ezekyeenda with both sides still searching for their first win of the season, making the contest a key opportunity to get points on the board.
The midday programme features Sikukulu against Ty Sheldon and Burdizo taking on Omutaji, with all four teams under pressure to stabilise their campaigns in what is already proving to be a tight table.
Attention then shifts to the afternoon games, where SeeFar meet Unruly and CHOGM face Ruharo, with both fixtures offering teams a chance to build momentum after mixed starts.
League leaders SC Rwizi return to action against X Convicts, looking to maintain their perfect record and hold off the chasing pack. Elsewhere, Karasande face Mutakoha in a mid-table clash that could influence positioning heading into the next round.
Defending champions Yobo Yobo are among the standout fixtures as they take on Dingiswayo. The title holders, who remain perfect and joint leaders, will aim to continue their strong start against a side that has drawn twice and won once in its last three matches.
Bulls Old Timers, also in the early title conversation, face Akajju as they seek to keep pace at the top, while Rugabo and Holistics are set to close out the day’s action.
The league continues to be backed by Guinness, whose matchday activations are expected to enhance the fan experience.
“Following the short break, we’re excited to see the Chaapa League return. I’ve seen the fixtures, and it promises to be an exciting Matchday,” said Denise Nazzinda.
“As Guinness, we are proud to power this platform and elevate the experience for fans, bringing together great football, great moments, and the bold spirit that defines the brand.”
Matchday 4 will also feature a live DJ set and a fan zone, including a screening of the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Manchester City.
