The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has congratulated the four clubs that secured promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League for the 2026/27 season following the conclusion of the FUFA Big League campaign.
In a correspondence dated June 8, 2026, FUFA President Moses Magogo praised Blacks Power FC, Kataka FC, Kigezi Homeboyz FC and Ntugasaze FC for their efforts throughout what he described as a highly competitive season.
Blacks Power FC sealed the FUFA Big League title on Sunday in Lira, completing a successful campaign that sees them return to Uganda’s top flight after their previous stint in the Premier League.
Kataka FC also celebrated a landmark achievement after securing promotion for the first time in the club’s history. The Mbale-based side’s rise marks a significant milestone and will see them compete among the country’s elite clubs next season.
Kigezi Homeboyz FC and Ntugasaze FC completed the quartet of promoted teams, earning their places in the Uganda Premier League through consistent performances over the course of the campaign.
Magogo applauded the contribution of the clubs’ leadership, players, technical staff, sponsors and supporters, noting that their unity, hard work and discipline had been key factors in achieving promotion.
The four clubs will now turn their attention to preparations for the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season as they seek to establish themselves in Uganda’s top tier and compete against the country’s leading sides.
