Gulu to Host National Volleyball Clubs Championship at Kaunda Grounds

The National Clubs Championship is the second most prominent competition in Ugandan volleyball, serving as a critical qualifier for teams aiming to represent Uganda at the Africa Club Championship.

This year’s edition promises to bring together the best volleyball clubs in the country, competing for national glory and a chance to compete on the continental stage.

In the previous edition held in Mbarara, Sport S claimed the men’s title, achieving their third consecutive victory in the competition. Ndejje Elites emerged victorious in the women’s category, continuing their strong performance in Ugandan volleyball.

The UVF’s decision to rotate the competition across different regions aims to promote the sport throughout Uganda. Previous host cities include Mbarara, Kabale, and Iganga, each contributing to the growing popularity of volleyball across the nation.

The selection of Gulu as this year’s host underscores the city’s growing prominence in Ugandan sports and provides an excellent opportunity for local fans to witness top-tier volleyball action.
