The Baby Victoria Pearls have secured their spot in the Africa finals of the 2025 U-19 Girls World Cup.
This comes after a recent announcement by the ICC Africa events team, which outlined a revised qualification pathway for the global tournament.
Uganda, along with five other nations, has automatically qualified for the Africa finals based on their current ranking.
The exact date for the continental showdown is yet to be confirmed by the ICC Africa team.
Based on the change in the qualification pathway, two teams from the upcoming sub-regional qualifier in Rwanda will join the six pre-qualified nations in the Africa finals.
Uganda Cricket Association have announced that despite not taking part in the sub-regional qualifier, the Baby Victoria Pearls who are currently in camp in Entebbe will continue their rigorous training regime as they eagerly await the official announcement of the Africa finals date.
The 2025 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup will be the second edition of the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, and is scheduled to be hosted by Malaysia and Thailand in 2025.
Uganda will hope to win the Africa finals to claim the last spot available at the World Cup and join South Africa who automatically qualified.
