Mawokota Ssaza have appointed Kitara’s Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo as their new head coach, effective immediately.
Ssenyondo replaces Steven Bogere, who was sacked earlier this month following a disappointing run of results in the Masaza Cup.
Bogere, who had been in charge of Mawokota since the start of the season, won just one game in six matches. His tenure was marked by a series of defeats and draws, leading to the executive committee’s decision to terminate his contract.
Ssenyondo is a seasoned coach with experience at clubs like Synergy, Mbarara City, UPDF, and Kitara. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise including experience on the continental level to Mawokota.
His appointment comes at a crucial time for the team, which is currently struggling to find its footing in the Masaza Cup.
Mawokota will be hoping that Ssenyondo can turn things around and lead the team to a successful campaign in the remainder of the tournament.
