Gaddafi FC registered their third victory of the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League as they defeated Arua Hill Sports Club at Kakindu Stadium.
After a goalless first half, the game sprung to life three minutes past the hour mark when Alex Kitata headed the Soldier Boys into the lead off a Godfrey Lwesibawa cross.
Arua Hill were reduced to 10-men, ten minutes later with Paul Musamali the culprit after receiving a second yellow card.
With the one-man advantage, the hosts put the contest to bed nine minutes from time thanks to Brian Kalumba’s goal.
The win propels Gaddafi to 7th place with 12 points while Arua hill who have now lost four of their opening 8 games, drop to 10th.
In the other game played today, Wakiso Giants’ two-game winning run came to an end after drawing nil nil with Onduparaka FC in Bombo.
