Express Football Club have strengthened their defensive line with the acquisition of experienced left-back Mustafa Kizza on a one-year deal.
The experienced defender joins the Red Eagles after his contract with KCCA expired in July.
Despite reportedly attracting interest from international clubs such as Wydad Casablanca, JS Kabylie, and Club Africain, Kizza ultimately opted to remain in Uganda and sign with Express.
His decision comes after unsuccessful attempts to secure a move abroad following stints with Montreal Impact in the USA and Arouca in Portugal.
Kizza is known for his attacking prowess and ability to deliver dangerous crosses. His addition to the Express squad will undoubtedly bolster their defensive capabilities and provide a wealth of experience to the team.
The Red Eagles have been actively bolstering their roster ahead of the upcoming league season.
Other notable signings include Saidi Kyeyune, Emmanuel Alex Wasswa, Derrick Ngoobi, Dan Shabena, Rashid Kawawa, Sam Ssenyonjo, goalkeeper Emmanuel Kalyowa, Herbert Kibirango, Michael Kagiri, Charles Ssembalirwa, Geoffrey Gagganga, Hafidhu Ssonko, Elvis Ssekajugo, and Hakim Wandera.
Express will kick off their league campaign on Saturday, September 14th, at Nakivubo Stadium against Mbale Heroes.
