USSSA Celebrates Milestones, Unveils New Infrastructure and International Success

The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) marked a significant milestone at its recent quarterly press briefing, showcasing substantial progress in infrastructure development and international achievements.

The event, held at the association’s headquarters in Kampala, featured a keynote address by USSSA President Justus Mugisha, who expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education for their unwavering support.

Mugisha highlighted the completion of two new stadiums and five additional football fields, underscoring the association’s commitment to providing top-notch facilities for young athletes.

New sports complexes in Masaka and other regions are setting a new standard for Ugandan school sports, offering state-of-the-art amenities and opportunities for students to develop their athletic skills.

USSSA also celebrated its impressive international performance, with Ugandan teams securing second place in the football championship and delivering strong showings in volleyball and other sports.

The association’s success on the global stage is a testament to the hard work and dedication of its athletes and coaches.

Looking ahead, USSSA announced plans to introduce new age categories for various sports, ensuring a steady pipeline of young talent.

The association’s goal is to provide every child in school with the opportunity to participate in sports and develop their skills.

The event concluded with a call for continued media support to enhance the visibility of USSSA’s efforts and achievements. The association remains committed to advancing school sports in Uganda and furthering its progress.
