Ugandan long-distance running sensation Jacob Kiplimo is looking to break his own world record in the Copenhagen Half Marathon on Sunday, September 15th.
The 2024 world record holder for the half marathon, Kiplimo, will be returning to the Danish capital with the goal of lowering his current best time of 57 minutes and 37 seconds.
The race is expected to be a fierce competition, with Kiplimo facing stiff competition from other top runners including the newly crowned 1500m Diamond League champion, Sweden’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
The Ugandan athlete has been training rigorously under the guidance of his coach, Patrick Cheboto, in preparation for the event.
The Copenhagen Half Marathon is one of the most prestigious road races in the world, attracting elite athletes from around the globe.
