Kitara Football Club have announced the return of midfielder Moses “Kinye” Sseruyidde, who has signed a one-year contract with the club.
Sseruyidde’s homecoming marks a significant boost for Kitara as they prepare to challenge for the 2024/25 StarTimes Uganda Premier League title.
Sseruyidde previously played for Kitara in the 2022/23 campaign, contributing significantly to their successful promotion to the top tier of Ugandan football.
His 12 goals and 9 assists during that season showcased his attacking prowess.
After a stint with Police Football Club in Rwanda, where he won the Rwanda Peace Cup, Sseruyidde has decided to return to Kitara.
“I’m thrilled to be back at Kitara,” he said during his unveiling. “This is a special moment for me because I have a good connection with some players here, plus the fans are amazing.”
Kitara have already assembled a strong squad for the new season, with players like Frank Zaga Tumwesigye, Titus Ssematimba, and Marvin Nyanzi.
The addition of Sseruyidde will further strengthen their midfield options.
The Royals kicked off their campaign with a convincing victory over newcomers Lugazi, and Sseruyidde’s presence will undoubtedly be a valuable asset as they strive for success in the top flight.
