The Uganda U20 national football team, the Hippos, has received a significant boost ahead of their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations U20 Zonal Qualifiers, scheduled for October 20th in Tanzania.
Trevis Mutyaba, a talented attacking midfielder with experience representing the Uganda Cranes, has joined the U20 training camp at Njeru Technical Training Center.
Mutyaba, who recently featured in the Uganda Cranes’ AFCON qualifiers against South Africa and DRC Congo, brings a wealth of experience and attacking prowess to the Hippos squad.
Following his termination of his contract with an Egyptian club, Mutyaba is rumored to be on the verge of joining an unnamed club in Spain.
His addition to the U20 team will undoubtedly strengthen the squad’s depth and boost morale.
The 45 players named in the provisional squad by the Federation of Ugandan Football Associations (FUFA) have all reported to the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
They will be working tirelessly under the guidance of Head Coach Matia Lule and his experienced technical team to secure a place on the final squad traveling to Tanzania.
