Two prominent Ugandan safety and security experts, Dixon Okello and Hajji Abdul Ssekabira Lukooya, have been recognized for their expertise and contributions to the field of stadium safety and security.
They have been nominated by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to participate in separate CAF Safe Stadium Initiative workshops in Kenya and Tanzania.
Dixon Okello, a FIFA and CAF-trained safety and security professional, has been selected as part of the CAF Delegation to serve as an instructor for a training workshop scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from October 7th to 11th, 2024.
His extensive knowledge and experience in stadium safety will be invaluable in guiding participants through the intricacies of ensuring safe and secure environments for sporting events.
Hajji Ssekabira Lukooya, another CAF-trained instructor, will be heading to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, between October 14th and 18th, 2024, to conduct a similar workshop.
The CAF Safe Stadium Initiative is a crucial program aimed at enhancing the safety and security standards of football stadiums across Africa.
