Barifa Stadium, Arua

Ibrahim Nsimbe scored the only goal as BUL FC overcame Arua Hill 1-0 in a StarTimes Uganda Premier league game played at Barifa stadium in Arua on Tuesday.

After a goalless first half, Nsimbe struck at the hour mark, heading home past the hapless Rogers Omedwa.

The victory sends BUL to the top of the summit with 23 points, at least for a day before KCCA, Wakiso Giants and Vipers also get in action.

BUL have now won two in a row having beaten Wakiso Giants 2-1 in their previous encounter.

It’s a hard result for Arua Hill to take in, a side that was welcoming coach Livingston Mbabazi back on the touchline having missed the Express win due to FUFA ban.

The loss ends Arua Hill’s two-game winning run that had seen them defeat both Express and Onduparaka.

Arua Hill remains on 16 points from 11 games and will hope to make amends when they visit Busoga United on December 12.

BUL remain unbeaten in the last three league meetings with Arua Hill having beaten the side 4-0 in Jinja and a 2-2 draw in Arua last season.

In the other league game played on Tuesday, URA FC drew 1-1 with UPDF FC.

On Wednesday, Blacks Power hosts SC Villa in Lira, Maroons welcome Gaddafi to Luzira while Onduparaka travels away to Vipers SC at Kitende.
