In their first 50-over game in the South Africa tour, the Cricket Cranes emerged victorious against Tuks XI by a narrow margin of 3 wickets.
The Cricket Cranes are in South Africa for a training tour ahead of the Challenge League B tournament, which will be hosted in Uganda from November 4th to 16th.
Opting to bat first, Tuks XI posted a decent total of 220 runs on the board, with contributions from various batsmen.
However, Uganda XI chased down the target effectively, reaching 226 runs in 46.3 overs.
Simon Sessazi top-scored for Uganda XI with a well-compiled knock of 112 runs. Leo Sadlar was the pick of the bowlers for Tuks XI, claiming 4 wickets.
Action resumes on Sunday as the Cricket Cranes battle it out against the Titans in a 50-over game.
Uganda will be hoping to reach the finals of the Challenge B tournament to progress to the next round of Qualifiers.
The Cricket Cranes will face Hong Kong, Bahrain, Italy, Singapore and Tanzania in the Challenge B.
