FUFA President Moses Magogo has allayed any concerns about Uganda’s preparedness to co-host the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025 alongside Kenya and Tanzania.
Speaking at the Friday FUFA Annual General Meeting (AGM), Magogo assured delegates that the country is on track to deliver a successful tournament.
Highlighting the key infrastructure, Magogo confirmed that the iconic Namboole Stadium will serve as Uganda’s primary venue.
To complement the main stadium, three training grounds have been identified: the Namboole outside pitch, Kyambogo University pitch, and Kadiba pitch.
Importantly, all three training pitches will be equipped with floodlights, ensuring adequate facilities for the participating teams.
Magogo’s reassurances come as a boost to Uganda’s preparations for the prestigious tournament.
CHAN 2024 will be held in February next year with the draws for the qualifiers scheduled for October 9th.
