The President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), Hon. Moses Magogo, on Tuesday welcomed a CAF inspection team to Uganda.
The team is in the country to assess the progress of infrastructure development ahead of the 2024 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship, which Uganda will co-host with Kenya and Tanzania.
Accompanying the CAF inspection team were officials from the co-host countries, the Ministry of Education and Sports, the National Council of Sports, and the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
The delegation visited various construction sites across the country, inspecting stadiums, training facilities, and other essential infrastructure.
The CAF inspection team is expected to provide feedback on the country’s readiness to host the tournament and may offer recommendations for further improvements.
The CHAN tournament is scheduled to take place in February next, and will be used as a curtain raiser for AFCON 2027 which East Africa will host.
