On the morning of Wednesday, October 16, the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) hosted a collaborative meeting with Presidents and Secretaries of various National Sports Federations and Associations at their National office- GNS Plaza.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders in the Ugandan sports landscape to discuss matters of mutual interest and explore ways to strengthen cooperation between USSSA and the affiliated sports bodies.
Several dignitaries attended the meeting, including Nasiwu Sadic, the President of the Uganda Volleyball Federation; Lutwama Isaac Nsubuga, the CEO of the Uganda Rugby Union; USSSA President Emeritus Okanya Patrick and Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi (USSSA EXCOM).
Mr. Edgar Watson, the CEO of FUFA; Nick Natuhereza, the FUBA Technical Director; Nakamya Annet, the President of the Uganda Badminton Association; Deo Mutabazi, the Chairman of Uganda Beach Soccer; and Twesiime Liberty, the President of the Uganda Lacrosse Association were also in attendance.
The meeting served as a platform for exchange of ideas, sharing of experiences, and identification of areas for potential collaboration between USSSA and the National Sports Federations and Associations.
Discussions focused on various aspects of sports development, including talent identification and nurturing, infrastructure development, sports governance, and the role of USSSA in promoting grassroots sports.
