The 2024/25 Finance Trust Women Super League is set to heat up as game week four approaches.
On Saturday, October 19th, at 10 AM, three exciting matches are scheduled to take place. One of the most anticipated encounters will be between Kampala Queens FC and Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC at Lugogo.
Both teams have been experiencing mixed fortunes in the early stages of the season.
Uganda Martyrs, fresh from their first victory against Tooro Queens, will be looking to build on that momentum.
Head coach Edward Kasozi is optimistic about his team’s chances of upsetting Kampala Queens, despite facing numerous challenges.
Kampala Queens, on the other hand, have been struggling to find their rhythm. Despite having a talented squad, they have only managed one win and two draws in their first three games.
Coach Charles Ayiekoh acknowledged his team’s shortcomings but remains confident that they will eventually turn things around.
The match between Kampala Queens and Uganda Martyrs will be particularly intriguing as it will see former Kampala Queens player Shamusa Najjuma face her old club.
Najjuma’s presence is expected to add an extra layer of excitement to the contest.
In other matches, Tooro Queens will host Rines SS WFC, while Wakiso Hill will face Olila HS WFC. All four teams are still searching for their first win of the season and will be desperate to secure a positive result.
