Renowned rapper ASAP Rocky is reportedly poised to become the new owner of League Two football club Tranmere Rovers.
The news comes as part of a multi-million pound deal orchestrated by a celebrity-led investment group.
Rocky, who is in a high-profile relationship with pop star and billionaire Rihanna, is believed to have stakes in an investment firm headed by prominent celebrity lawyer Joe Tacopina.
According to reports, Tacopina has been negotiating with Tranmere Rovers for a controlling stake of 80% valued at a staggering £15 million.
If the deal goes through, Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, could be seen cheering on Tranmere alongside Rihanna at their home ground, Prenton Park, in Birkenhead.
The acquisition would add another layer of celebrity glamour to the world of football, following in the footsteps of high-profile figures like Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who have gained significant attention for their ownership of Welsh club Wrexham.
Tranmere Rovers, currently owned by Mark and Nicola Palios, have been under their stewardship for a decade.
