Lewis Hamilton Issues Statement on Future After Brazil GP Disappointment

Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton sent shockwaves through the motorsport world after a disastrous weekend at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The seven-time world champion’s 10th-place finish, coupled with a cryptic message on team radio, has fueled speculation about a potential early retirement.

During the race, Hamilton expressed his frustration with the Mercedes car, stating, “That was a disaster of a weekend, guys. But thank you for continuing to try. If this is the last time that I get to perform, it’s a shame it wasn’t great, but grateful for you.”

While some interpreted this message as a hint at a potential early retirement, others suggested it might refer to a change in pit crew for the upcoming races.

However, reports suggest that Mercedes was taken aback by Hamilton’s comments, emphasizing that there were no plans for him to step down before the end of the season.

Hamilton, who is set to join Ferrari next season, has since elaborated on his feelings about the weekend, calling it “devastating.”

He acknowledged the team’s efforts but expressed disappointment with the car’s performance.

The Brazilian Grand Prix marked a low point in an otherwise challenging season for Hamilton.

The 39-year-old has struggled to match the pace of Red Bull and Ferrari, and his future with Mercedes has been the subject of much speculation.
