The 23-year-old’s scoring streak began on matchday five, when he converted a penalty against Wakiso Giants.
He followed up with braces in consecutive matches, scoring twice against Police in a 2-1 win and adding another double from the spot in a 3-1 victory over Mbarara City.
Despite drawing a blank against his former side KCCA in a 1-1 draw before the international break, Okello’s latest goal reinforces his position as the league’s leading scorer.
Chasing Okello closely are five players tied on five goals each, including his teammate Milton Karisa.
Other challengers for the golden boot include Mbarara City’s Seiri Arigumaho, URA’s Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Express’ Samuel Ssenyonjo, and Villa’s Charles Lwanga.
Vipers’ next game is a home fixture against Kitara, offering Okello another chance to extend his scoring record and further cement his dominance in the league.
