The She Cranes have arrived safely in Namibia, eager to make their mark on the continent at the 2024 Africa Netball Cup.
The team landed at Hosea Kutako International Airport late on Thursday before embarking on a journey of at least 400 kilometers by road to Swakopmund, the coastal town hosting the prestigious tournament.
The She Cranes, under the guidance of Head Coach Nelson Bogere, are drawn in Group B alongside the hosts Namibia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, and Lesotho.

She Cranes star, Faridah Kadondi who is making her debut at the tournament hopes to make her mark and steer the team to victory.
“I travelled with the team in 2021 but I didn’t feature in any game. This will be my first time playing in the tournament. I look forward to doing my usual best,” she told Kawowo Sports ahead of the journey to Namibia.
The 2024 Africa Netball Cup is set to commence on December 9th and will feature a total of nine participating nations vying for the coveted championship.
The tournament will take place at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund, providing a vibrant and exciting atmosphere for the netball spectacle.
