KCCA Volleyball Club are targeting a strong second round performance as the Sheilah Omuriwe coached side aim to win the women’s league title.
Having won eight and lost one of their nine first round games, focus will be on maintaining their run of form following the festive break.
Captain Eunice Amuron is confident the team is on course to achieve set targets.
“We have had a good performance and we are lucky to have got the results we have losing only once. I hope we keep building on this and et better because the opponents are tough,” she said.
A straight sets (31-29, 25-17, 25-16) win over rivals KCB Nkumba earlier this week boosted the team’s morale as Amuron notes, “The eight-point first set recovery gave us momentum as a team. Our defense and service performed well and gave us the win against tough opponents.”
Men’s holders Sport-S lead the men’s standings with an unbeaten record with NEMO and KCCA in second and third respectively.
