The Nile Special National Pool League recently entered a brief hiatus with Rox Berry Pool Club leading the pack with 48 points, comfortably ahead of Scrap Buyers in second place with 44 points.
To maintain this momentum and keep their players motivated during the holiday break, Rox Berry management hosted a special luncheon.
“This is something that must keep us going in these holidays to stay in shape and fit to play for our club,” emphasized Club Manager Zak Idiro, highlighting the importance of this unique initiative in the Ugandan pool scene.
Vice President of the Pool Association of Uganda, Mwere James, addressed the players, urging them to “work for their old ages” and maintain strict discipline both on and off the table.
The luncheon also served as an occasion to recognize the club’s top performers at the recently concluded Nile Special National Pool Open.
After champion Mansoor Bwanika, the following players were awarded for their exceptional performances:
* Ibra Ssejemba
* Joseph Kasozi
* Simon Lubulwa
* Azali Lukomwa
To cap off the event, all Rox Berry Pool Club players received Christmas packages as a token of appreciation.
The Nile Special National Pool League, featuring 16 competing teams, will resume on January 10th, 2025.
