Uganda Cranes striker Steve Mukwala delivered a sensational performance, scoring twice as Simba SC demolished Kagera Sugar 5-2 in an NBC Premier League match at Kaitaba Stadium.
Mukwala’s influence on the game was undeniable, with the forward netting his first goal in the 68th minute.
He capped off an incredible solo effort by Ladaki Chasambi, who carried the ball from midfield to set him up.
Mukwala returned in the 84th minute to seal Simba SC’s emphatic victory, calmly finishing off another assist from Chasambi.
The Ugandan star’s brilliance highlighted an all-around dominant display by Simba SC, who also saw goals from Shomari Kapombe, Jean Charles Ahoua, and Fabrice Ngoma.
Mukwala’s second goal capped a memorable night for the team, who returned to the top of the NBC Premier League table with 34 points from 13 matches.
While Mukwala’s attacking flair stole the headlines, Kagera Sugar fought back with goals from Datius Peter and Cleophace Mkandala. However, it wasn’t enough to challenge Mukwala’s inspired Simba SC.
