Alex Isabirye, an accomplished tactician, has been named the new head coach of Vipers Sports Club.
Beto Bianchi Pellister, who left the club earlier this week after around 59 days of service, is replaced by Isabirye.
Isabirye was quoted on the club website as saying, “I am very excited to be here and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to developing a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of. “I am very excited to be here and look forward to meeting and representing Vipers Sports Club, this fantastic football club.
Isabirye will collaborate with Kato Ibrahim, Richard Wasswa, and Ibrahim Mugisha as coaches.
In Vipers, Isabirye will collaborate with Karim Ndugwa, his former goal-scoring machine from Bul Fc.
Isabirye, who has been in charge of BUL, has previously won the league with URA FC and the Uganda Cup with Victoria University and BUL.
Together with URA, he has also served as a coach for teams in Somalia including BUL FC, Victoria University, Kyetume FC, Soana FC, Busoga United FC, and Horseed FC.
Alex Isabirye has the huge task of helping Vipers SC defend their Uganda Premier League title, as the team was not performing well under the Brazilian tactician.
Vipers SC currently are fourth with 28 points in the Star-times Uganda premier league
His first match as the Venoms Coach will come on Tuesday 14th, March 2023 against Wakiso Giants in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
