The Sea Robbers have today extended their sponsorship deal with Stanbic Bank and unveiled a new kit as we go into game week 13 of the second round of the Nile Special Rugby Premier League.
The Black Pirates had signed three year deal with Stanbic Bank to help them boost the teams running.
Today The club made an announcement of the renewal of its contract, which is stated to run for two years and be worth 80 million pounds with Stanbic Bank, and launched a new kit to run the season.
The new deal will see the Sea Robbers wear the Stanbic Bank-branded jerseys both at home and away, as it has always been for the previous contract.
This move has come to boost the pirates both who are currently 3rd of the table standing this season and help the club with all its welfare.
The CEO Stanbic Uganda Andrew Mashanda today in a press conference Commended the works the club has done in grooming and nurturing talent, and he looks up to the day Uganda will be fielding more players on the international scene.
“We share in the glory of their wins and the disappointment of their losses, but the most important point is enjoying the spirit of competitiveness, which is the basis of all sports,” Mashanda said.
He added that the partnership would nurture talent in rugby and deliver the team to the World Cup.
Anne Juuko the Stanbic Bank Chief Executive said, the launch of the new sports kit is an exciting milestone for the club and fans alike. “We encourage as many of you as possible to buy the new Stanbic Pirates kit and show continued support for the club,” she said.
Stanbic Black Pirates Visit Impis rugby tomorrow at the Makerere Graveyard, where they are expected to make their first playing appearance with the new away kit.
