“For an organization to grow, it must have vibrant, empowering, and educated leaders,” emphasized Mugisha Justus, USSSA President. “Our mission is to boost and change the landscape of schools’ sports in Uganda, and we can do this by building capacity.”

The course covered a wide range of topics, including Effective governance culture, sports laws and regulations, sports structures, stakeholder obligations, and online registration systems.

A total of 112 participants, including USSSA and Uganda Primary Schools Sports Association (UPSSA) officials from across the country, received certificates in Sports Administration and Management.

Odong Sammy, Assistant Commissioner of Physical Education and Sports, graced the closing ceremony as the guest of honor.

He urged participants to use the acquired knowledge to “promote talents and not prioritize money.” He assured the Ministry’s continued support for the growth and development of school sports in Uganda.

William Bwambale, UPSSA President, expressed gratitude to USSSA for the opportunity to participate in the training. He highlighted the significant impact of the partnership between USSSA and UPSSA on the development of youth sports in a short period.
