Alfred Ojok Shines with First-Round Knockout at Tunisia Gala

Ugandan boxer Alfred Ojok made a thunderous international debut at the inaugural Solidarity and Fraternity Boxing Night Gala, delivering a spectacular first-round knockout against Libya’s Hamza Gazouini.

The event, hosted on January 24, 2025, at the Sidi Bou Said Gymnasium in Tunisia, brought together elite boxers from around the globe under the auspices of the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC) and the International Boxing Association (IBA).

Representing Brawn Boxing Club, Ojok entered the 75kg middleweight bout as a promising contender, and his performance exceeded expectations.

The Ugandan unleashed a barrage of precise and powerful punches that overwhelmed Gazouini, leaving the Libyan unable to recover as the referee called the fight in the opening round.

The victory marked a significant milestone for Ojok, who was selected by the Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) for this prestigious event.

The Solidarity and Fraternity Boxing Night Gala featured a star-studded lineup, with Ojok’s victory standing out as one of the evening’s highlights.

The tournament aimed to promote unity and excellence in boxing across the continent and beyond, with Ojok’s electrifying display earning praise from spectators and officials alike.
