URA 1-1 UPDF

Busoga United 0-0 Wakiso Giants

Onduparaka 0-0 Vipers SC

Vipers Sports Club crawled to the top of the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda premier league following their barren stalemate away to Onduparaka FC in Arua on Friday during match day 25.

The reigning champions had earlier in the week thrown away another opportunity to go top when they lost to Bright Stars 1-0 in the previous fixture.

The point earned from Ababet Greenlight stadium moved the Venoms to the summit with joint 46 points, only bettering second placed SC Villa by 12 goals after 25 games.

The caterpillars meanwhile remain at the foot of the table with fading hopes of survival.

Villa visit UPDF next Tuesday while KCCA who are third with just a point behind the two can move top this Saturday with victory away at 10th placed Express FC in Luzira.

In the other games played, Wakiso Giants and Busoga United played to a barren draw that left them 9th and 13th respectively. URA were held to a 1-all draw at home by UPDF FC to stay 6th while the visitors who have to thank goalkeeper Derrick Were for the man of the match performance sit 12th on the log.
