Marmoush’s 14-Minute Hat-Trick Decimates Newcastle

Omar Marmoush announced his arrival at Manchester City in spectacular fashion, bagging a stunning 14-minute hat-trick in the first half against a hapless Newcastle United.

The Egyptian forward, signed from Eintracht Frankfurt in the winter transfer window, showcased his prolific goalscoring ability, leaving the Newcastle defense in tatters. The final scoreline reflected City’s dominance.

The Etihad Stadium witnessed a masterclass from Pep Guardiola’s side, with Marmoush’s heroics leading the charge.

His first goal came after a brilliant long ball from City goalkeeper Ederson, who remarkably registered his sixth Premier League assist – the most for any goalkeeper in the league.

Trippier’s missed interception allowed Marmoush to chip the onrushing Dubravka and open the scoring.

Marmoush’s second goal was even more impressive, a sublime touch and finish from the edge of the box, leaving Trippier and Dubravka helpless.

The Egyptian completed his hat-trick soon after, steering home Savinho’s cross with clinical precision.

“Three goals – we knew it,” said Guardiola after the match. “In Germany he made good numbers. We knew with his dynamism he would do good. Hopefully, he can handle the biggest compliments.”

While Marmoush stole the show, Nico González also impressed in midfield, drawing comparisons to Rodri from his manager.

“He is like a mini-Rodri, a big compliment,” Guardiola commented. “He’s miles away from Rodri – he’s the best – but we have the feeling he’ll help us in the last part of the season with his presence because Nico helps a lot, in the 50/50s.”

Newcastle struggled to contain City’s relentless attack. Despite a brief spell of pressure, they were largely outmatched.

Manager Eddie Howe made two substitutions at halftime, bringing on Lewis Miley and Tino Livramento, but the changes did little to stem the tide.

Substitute James McAtee added the finishing touch late in the game, converting a Haaland flick to seal a comprehensive victory for the home side.
