The stage is set for the 14th edition of the East African Local Authorities Sports and Cultural Association (EALASCA) Games, as five East African nations gather at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo in Kampala, Uganda.
The event will run through the week, culminating on Friday, February 28th, 2025, with Uganda’s Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) proudly hosting this major event.
This much-anticipated event will see athletes and cultural performers from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania coming together to compete and celebrate the spirit of East Africa.
The EALASCA Games are not only about sports but also about fostering unity and promoting friendly competition among the region’s nations.
Participants will compete in an exciting array of outdoor and indoor activities.
Outdoor activities include: Football, Basketball, Netball, Volleyball, Athletics, Tug of War, Music, and Cultural Competitions
Indoor games will include: Chess, Draughts, Pool Table, Scrabble, and Darts.
Beyond the athletic competitions, the EALASCA Games will also celebrate the rich cultural heritage of East Africa.
