Liverpool, adidas Rekindle Partnership in £60M-a-Year Deal

Liverpool Football Club is set to rekindle its iconic partnership with adidas, the German sportswear giant, in a lucrative kit deal estimated at £60 million annually.

The agreement marks adidas’ return as Liverpool’s official kit supplier after a 13-year hiatus, replacing Nike as the team’s sponsor starting this summer.

The collaboration harkens back to some of the club’s most successful eras, with adidas previously providing kits during an 11-year run from 1985 to 1996.

Fans are already nostalgic, as many of Liverpool’s legendary shirts were crafted by the brand, which holds a celebrated place in the club’s history.

Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership, stating, “Everyone at the club is incredibly excited to welcome adidas back into the LFC family. Together, we created some of the most iconic kits of all time, and we look forward to building on that legacy with innovative designs and high-performance apparel.”

While the deal promises substantial financial rewards for the club, it also includes a unique clause that requires Liverpool to stick with Nike kits during their pre-season tour.

With on-pitch success as a cornerstone of the partnership, the new kit deal further cements Liverpool’s ambition for continued dominance in the Premier League and beyond.
