The 2024/25 Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 16 fixtures were announced on Tuesday morning with the draw conducted at the FUFA Complex in Mengo.
The draw was hosted by former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper and five-time tournament winner Ibrahim Mugisha.
Notably, Cup holders Kitara, who clinched last season’s trophy with a narrow 1-0 win over NEC have been handed an away fixture against Big League side Gaddafi.
Elsewhere, record winners KCCA will host the tournament’s dark horses, Rwenzori Lions from the Kitara region.
Meanwhile, nine-time champions SC Villa, who are also the reigning StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions, face a tricky away tie against Lugazi.
Current StarTimes Uganda Premier League table leaders and three-time winners, Vipers, will play FUFA Big League leaders Blacks Power at home. URA FC, another three-time champion, is set to face Kataka, a Big League side from Mbale.
The 2022 Stanbic Uganda Cup champions, BUL will take on West Nile Region’s Total, while Maroons will lock horns with Police in a much-anticipated military derby.
Big League side Kaaro Karungi is set to battle UPDF, rounding out the fixtures for this entertaining stage of the competition.
FUFA Competitions Director Hajat Aisha Nalule confirmed that the matches will take place from Monday, March 17, to Friday, March 21, 2025.
These single-leg ties will adhere to the tournament’s regulations as outlined in Article 19. Should the matches end in a draw, penalties will determine the winners.
