Uganda will be represented by St. Noa Girls Secondary School, Zana and St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School, Kitende at the CAF African Schools Football Championship 2025 Continental Finals, set for April 21-26 in Accra, Ghana.
St. Noa Girls secured their place as CECAFA champions, while St. Mary’s Kitende qualified as CECAFA runners-up in the boys’ category, joining Tanzania, the defending champions.
The tournament will take place at the University of Ghana’s Legon Sports Stadium, a 10,000-seater venue that hosted the 2023 African Games.
Launched in 2022 by CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the competition has become Africa’s leading youth football program, involving over 1.9 million young players from 46 countries.
It offers not just a platform for competition but also capacity-building programs for players, coaches, and referees.
With a total prize pool of $650,000, the winning team will take home $300,000, runners-up $200,000, and third-place finishers $150,000—funds that go towards school infrastructure and education projects.
St. Noa Girls and St. Mary’s Kitende have a strong legacy in school football and will be aiming to make history in Ghana as they compete against Africa’s best for the continental title.
