BUL delivered a ruthless performance in the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, thrashing West Nile Regional League side Total 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon to book their place in the quarter-finals.
From the onset, the Uganda Premier League outfit dominated proceedings, with Jeromy Kirya opening the scoring in the 27th minute from the penalty spot after Karim Ndugwa was brought down in the box.
Ndugwa doubled BUL’s lead six minutes later, converting a Fredrick Ngalo assist to put his side in complete control by halftime.
The second half saw BUL go on a scoring spree. Ndugwa struck again just two minutes after the restart to claim his brace before Lawrence Tezikya, Isaac Wagoina, and Reagan Kalyowa piled more misery on Total’s defense.
Wagoina wrapped up the emphatic victory in the 89th minute with his second goal of the night.
The comprehensive win underlines BUL’s ambitions in the competition as they storm into the quarter-finals alongside Kitara, SC Villa, and Police, with the draw for the last eight set to be made soon.
