Uganda’s women’s team will face a busy round-robin schedule at the Junior Africa Cup, following a change in format that now features a single-pool competition.
All participating teams will face each other in the group stage, with the top four advancing to the classification matches.
According to the revised fixture list, Uganda is scheduled to play five group matches between April 18 and April 24, 2025, against South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Zambia. The tournament is being held in Windhoek, Namibia.
Uganda will kick off their campaign on Friday, April 18, against tournament favourites South Africa at 10:00am EAT.
The team will then face regional rivals Kenya on Saturday, April 19, in an evening clash set for 8:00pm EAT.
A quick turnaround follows with a morning match against Zimbabwe on Monday, April 21, at 10:00am EAT.
The fourth fixture comes against hosts Namibia on Tuesday, April 22, at 7:00pm EAT, before wrapping up the group phase against Zambia on Thursday, April 24, at 11:00am EAT.

- Monday, April 21: Uganda vs Zimbabwe – 10:00am EAT

Depending on final group standings, Uganda could play one of two classification matches on Friday, April 25:
- If they finish 1st or 2nd, they will play in the final at 7:00pm EAT (Match 18).
- If they place 3rd or 4th, they will contest the bronze playoff at 2:15pm EAT (Match 16).
The tournament serves as a qualifier for the 2025 FIH Junior Women’s World Cup, with the top two teams earning a place at the global event in Santiago, Chile.
