Prof. Muganga Backs Arsenal to Win First-Ever Champions League Title

Victoria University Kampala Vice Chancellor, Professor Lawrence Muganga, has thrown his full support behind Arsenal’s bid to win their first-ever UEFA Champions League title, expressing confidence ahead of the club’s semi-final clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

With the Gunners set to take on the French giants next week, hopes are high among fans that this could be the season Arsenal finally ends its long European drought.

Muganga, a passionate and outspoken supporter, believes the North London side has what it takes to lift the trophy.

“As for us, we are ready and we will never get tired of supporting Arsenal unlike Manchester United fans right now,” said Muganga, lightheartedly referencing their domestic rivals.

In a playful jab, he added, “We are lonely these days with our friends the Manchester United fans being far from us. We know we are being called ‘Next Season FC,’ but it’s better to live with hope than live hopeless.”

Arsenal’s Champions League run this season has garnered praise for its tactical discipline and attacking intensity.

However, on the domestic front, the Premier League title is slipping from their grasp.

The club is currently second behind Liverpool, who are on track to win the league. Should the standings remain the same, Arsenal may be required to give their rivals a guard of honor in the final weeks of the season.
