Vipers captain Milton Karisa says that they are not under pressure to achieve a season double ahead of their much anticipated Uganda Cup semi-final, first-leg clash against holders Kitara on Saturday night at the St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.
“It is a tough but very important game for us and we are ready to take the home advantage in the first leg,” remarked Karisa.
“We are taking a game at a time and our focus is on Saturday’s game; we win that and see what comes next,” he added.
The Venoms who were eliminated by the Royals in post-match kicks at the quarterfinals last season enroute to their maiden title will be seeking a pay back as they search for their third title.
Leading the Premier League with just four games to go, Vipers fans are dreaming big of a season double, a feat they last witnessed in the 2019/20 season.
The other semi-final, first leg fixture will see joint record winners KCCA FC host FUFA Big league side Kataka FC at the MTN Omondi grounds on Sunday evening.
