Everton’s penultimate home game at Goodison Park ended in a frustrating 2-2 draw against relegated Ipswich Town, who fought back from two goals down.
Amidst a nostalgic atmosphere, Everton took a 2-0 lead through first-half goals from Beto and Dwight McNeil.
However, Julio Enciso’s strike before the break offered Ipswich hope, and George Hirst’s late header secured an unlikely point for the visitors.
Despite the draw, Everton climbed to 14th, while Ipswich remain 18th.
The result dampened the farewell celebrations for Goodison Park, though Everton have one more home game remaining.
